Freetown Inc. About us
Welcome to the official website for Free Town Inc.
Freetown Inc was founded in 1989 by Mark Rogers, the lead singer of Hollywood Beyond. After departing from Warner Bros, Rogers and his best friend established the label to release house music. He relocated to New York City, where he released records by artists such as Robert Owens and Jamie Principle, in addition to his own works. Throughout its existence, Freetown Inc released numerous influential house music tracks and albums, contributing significantly to the genre's development during the late 1980s and 1990s. In 1994 Mark was joined by Sangki Yuh who assumed the role as financier of the label. In 1998 Sangki Yuh and DJ John Robinson sadly died in a car accident. At this point the label was put onto an extended hiatus. The Freetown Inc legacy now is preserved as an audio testement to the both to 1990s New York House and the talented individuals who were integral to its success.             Mark Rogers 2024
